Posted November 29, 200420 yr comment_103620 My Z came with a set of Enkei 92's on it, they are 14x6 i believe and in decent shape with all center caps.I am thinking of getting some 15's for the car. Are these rims worth anything? Are they OEM or aftermarket from the 70's, maybe a dealer option perhaps?Just looking for some basic info on them is all. I did some searching around but did not discover much.Thanks,-jared Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14167-enkei-92s/ Share on other sites
November 29, 200420 yr comment_103630 Jared,These rims are prized by some such as myself. If yours are in good condition you could sell them. As far as I know the rims were not a dealer "option" but, may well have been installed at the dealer but, typically Enkei wheels would have been bought through a mail order catalog or a tire shop. Some of my old wheel boxes mention Golden Wheel Corporation which may have held distributorship rights for Enkei wheels. In any case if you have any photos of the wheels it could help in determining a suggestion price. The 14" wheels if in good shape without tires should fetch between $200-350.Are yours painted in the centers (i.e. silver, gold, black or matched to the body color)? In this case if the seller isn't going to put up pictures, he should avoid trying to let his words do the describing. November 29, 200420 yr comment_103661 There seems to be quite a few auctions at the moment with the text "Will put up pictures soon". Why not just advertise the thing SOON instead of now, with pictures? November 30, 200420 yr comment_103683 another reason to be cautious on ebay , I emailed the seller because I was interested and this was the question and answer ,You asked:"Hello, curious with the wheels, what is the bolt pattern , the rim width , and the hub offset. Also is the 300 for shipping correct? You said it comes with wheels and rims did you happen to mean tires and if so what size are they? Thank you"yeah shipping is baout 300. tires are 15"and have an 8 pattern.and yeah the rim and tires come together, and plus theres a little scratches on some, but they are good. how much would you pay for them, and maybe i'll make you a deal. THANKS gevpe0807quite clear he doesn't even know what he is selling Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14167-enkei-92s/#findComment-103683 Share on other sites
November 30, 200420 yr comment_103689 Well, as I recall, the last time I was in Jackpot, Nevada (where the seller is located) the drinks were free at Cactus Jacks and the various other casinos around there. Not much else to do but gamble and drink in Jackpot -- at least when I was there. Maybe he needs to sell the mystery wheels and tires for his next stake at the Blackjack table, or maybe it's the one armed bandits.
