Clutch Slips

I've been driving the 240Z for the last couple of weekends. Yesterday I noticed that when I give the gas pedal a health push the revs go up faster than the car accelerates. The revs will drop down to normal pretty quickly. I've only noticed this in 4th gear so far (car is a 4-speed). I look in my repair manual and saw that you can make an adjustment down by the slave cylinder. That should take care of the slipping, right? :nervous:

Any tips?

TIA

If your car has close to 100,000 miles or more then it might be time for a new clutch. Most stock clutches last to about 120,000 or so, it usually depends on driving habits.

Also, I would recommend you change the clutch ASAP. If it keeps slipping when you give it gas you will be burning up the flywheel. Then you will have more things to replace.
