I let out just enough water to drop the level below the water neck. Check your Thermotime switch. It should only show continuity when cold. It's easy to check. Just cut of a connector with a couple of inches of wire from a junkyard car. Connect a volt meter to the Thermotime switch (on the car) and check for continuity.

Are you sure about checking the thermotime switch? I w as reading in the FSM, and it says to check from the one pin to the metal body for continuity.

Mine reads ~60 ohms that way. I think that means "0 ohms" in antique-wiring talk.

I have an injector pigtail, so I'll try your idea.

If it doesn't have continuity when you check it as shown in the picture, it won't be closed when it gets the signal from the starter and thus won't send the signal to the CSV.

It looks like i'll be replacing the thermotime switch a little earlier than I thought.
