Receive Email Notification of replies to topics, pictures, etc? Am I the only one who is NOT receiving these??? Did not change anything for a long time, normally I got notification of replies so what's happening.....?

The 10- character minimum requirement is so you don't get a lot of 1- word replies, which uses up bandwidth and wastes your time online.

Well, as long as we have a "bitch" thread going, I might as well bitch about how my log-in password is not remembered and even though the site recognizes me, it doesn't remember my password and I have to type it in every time I log on. It's a real pain in the arse and if I am in a hurry to respond or answer a PM, the whole process slows me down. Some times it takes so long that other people beat me to a responce when I knew the answer first!!??!!?!? How frustrating. Then there is the whole issue of; "What do I do if I forget my password"?

I don't have to log on every time but I do have to log back on every few days for some reason. Over the holidays I opened the browser at my parent's house and it still remembered my login there months later. It has to do with cookies stored on your computer by your browser. What browser are you using?

All's well for me. Pm's, multiple thread notifications, password remembrence..........so far :nervous:

My password is always remembered. Never have a problem.

Just got back from a shopping trip (3 hours) and there are 4 notifications of replies to this thread, and 4 notifications of replies to the EricB Transmission Rebuild thread waiting for me.

Maybe everyone should verify that their User CP and Preferences are still set up the way you want them to be? Just a thought.

I wish I got more "Boobs" notifications!!

Seriously though, I have no problems with the site. I just got three emails for the "pics of Z" thread.

Yes it is, I checked that in fustration.

Now the intersting bit.

I tried to create a new user just to check if it was my profile related.

The site will not allow me join up!

Also, this problem appeared about the same time [for me] as the old mailing list was updated to the new list. I was sent an invite which I declined.

What did other members do? Perhaps it is related to this?

If Mike is reading this then the user was emailalert, purely to be used for comparision use only...

edit: I've just tried to enter the list site, the link is not working for me, so I'm unable to join up!. Someone please help........

Confirmed all User CP settings, tested the PM (since the reload) and still no emails. Pop up notification works, as well as the CP notification.

I even logged onto the 'web mail' site to ensure that the emails were not getting 'hung up' before Outlook.

Not sure if the thread “reply notification” is working. - I'll find that out when someone replies to this. I have not received any notification from any of the replies since Nov. 23rd
