Given the recent uproar and whining about 'off-topic' pictures, I figured I would check what kind of interest, if any, there is for more pictures of this red Toyota 2000GT a museum I just visited had.

I have seen one of these in a museum before as well. They really are beautiful cars. The one that I saw was a LHD as well. Thanks for the pictures.

Ben

p.s. I don't think this is off topic.

The gallery will be here once someone approves them all.

I resized them all to 1024x768 so the forums would take them. If anyone wants the full size (5mpixel) original of any of them, just msg me. A few of them don't have good focus, didn't really notice until I was home unfortunately.

This museum is smack dab between Austin and Houston, and if you live in the area I recommend going out for a visit. It only cost $5 to get in and they basically let you walk around and look at whatever you want. Most of their cars are from the 20s-50s, with only a few exceptions. It ended up being about a 1.5-2 hour drive. Their website is http://www.oldcarcountry.com

The museum is called Sterling McCall's Old Car Museum. If I am right, I believe there is a Toyota/Lexus dealership in Houston of the same name. The collection got started as people brought in old cars for trade-ins on new Toyota/Lexus cars. This particular 2000GT was apparently owned by the owner of the dealership when it was new, and went into this collection eventually. I can't remember where I read that however.

I spent ages today drooling over one at the Toyota Museum near Nagoya.

I have a few photos as well as some 432R photos and other cool pics i will post next week when i get home.
