Looks like a beautiful circuit, the kind where the blind corners and earthen embankments make the margin of error all the more slim correspondingly driving up the entertainment value?

Wrong era for the R32 Alfa. Though Glen Seaton raced a R30 FJ20 turbo around that time.

Doesn't conrod straight seem really long seeing that old footage! It was a good thing to put in that chicane though. I just remember watching when that privateer Commadore hit the bridge and engine looked as though it was in the boot.

If you show your age like me then you may remember that Glen Seton was one of the first to carry an on-board camera in the R30.

It turned out to rain in the afternoon and they had the camera on. Seton was wheel spinning right across the top of the mountain at an average of 160kph which turned out to be some real good footage.

One of the beauties of Bathurst is the variations in the track (remember that it is a public road for 51 weeks of the year). The only other circuit that would offer similar challenges all contained in 6 kilometres (5 miles) would be Spa or Nuburbring - but then again I don;t know all the circuits of the world.

nah that was moffit in the vk i think they were saying. My friend has a Bathurst box set from the 50's - 90's great stuff on it. the R32's dominated w00t.
