Fender mirror location.

I think I hinted enough (including web addresses for ordering) that I'm getting new bullet mirrors for my '71 240.

I want to put them on the fenders as I've seen all over te web but does anybody know exactly where to locate them?

I know non-US models had fender mount and I would like to place them as much in the right place as possible.
