Posted December 15, 200420 yr comment_105213 Hello how would you go about fixing a top that is a little wavy. It had been bondoed in the past and now has a crack. Would fiber reinforced bondo on top with maybe even a couple of strips of steel underneath work? Whats the best way to fix this? December 15, 200420 yr comment_105215 The best fix would be to remove all of the bondo and straighten out the metal itself. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14336-fixing-a-wavy-roof/#findComment-105215 Share on other sites
December 15, 200420 yr comment_105218 Absolutely MikeW is right on. My roof looked like a sack of potatoes , I thought I was going to need a replacement. escanlon showed me how and we strightend it out and used vary vary little body filler. So it can be done. It just takes time and patience. I will post pictures in a gallery when I find out how . December 15, 200420 yr Author comment_105219 Do you know of any sites with info on doing it. Is it just a matter of heating and cooling the metal and shaping it with a hammer and form?
