I just completed the integration of a Classified Ad module for our club. The classifieds can be found at the link below this message. By adding a new classified system, I believe we will make it easier for those of you who need to sell cars/parts and those of you who need to find cars/parts. The ads are free and the exposure will be huge. One of our most popular areas is the "Classifieds" forum and this will expand on that idea. Mike, I tried to create an ad in the new classifieds, but only got as far as step two. I'm getting ready to sell my '72 240z, but the only two options are to sell parts or Zclub products. How do I create an ad for selling my car?

I think the new section is ok, but I do have one complaint. When you post a part for sale, it does not list it in the Active threads from the forum on the welcome page. That it self helps people notice parts for sale.

Yea, I noticed this as well. I am planning to add a block on the main page similar to the photo gallery. It will show a certain number of "latest classified ads" in order to bring people in.

I also just enabled the left menu so that non-registered (or not-logged-in) users can see the links around our site.

I think the block and non users being able to check it out is a great way for people to recognize the parts for sale. Thanks Mike, hope it turns out well.

Looks good Mike, but perhaps there could be better info as to where it's located. Seemed to be difficult to tell sometimes. Perhaps a little extra on the listing 'posted by: XXXX, location: somewhere' ?

Anyways, keep up the good work. =)

I have seen another site, hybridz, is using the same classified ad moduel and they have a field for the item location. I think that this should be added to our classifieds and be a REQUIRED field anytime an ad is placed. This would help everyone out tremdously.
