I know there is a drop dead fantastic place up around Philidelphia, but they were the priciest I found.Chris there is a superb place in Clearwater called Alert Bumper. Scott had the 72 rear bumper re-chromed there and the work is flawless. We told them this is a concours vehicle and that's what we got, absolutley beautiful. Turn around time was about a week, price was around $250.00 (back in 2001).They come highly recomended by some very respected collectors we know. Plus it's close by. No shipping for you. Just a thought.Vicky Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14403-rear-bumper-rechrome/?&page=2#findComment-105916 Share on other sites

December 22, 200420 yr comment_105929 Thanks Vicky. I'll look into it.29th would be a vintage racer in my stable. Perhaps restored to Ron Carter's standard or how about a Bob Sharp replicar? I would buy some land and build a barn big enough to hold all the cars. You DO realize that 20th- Z is available, don't you, Stephen? I would emass the entire 20 series family line and buy a huge tractor-trailer rig driven by Hooter's babes to travel the country and display the cars. I would have a whole swarm of Japanese Umbrella Girls to pose as spokesmodels and as soon as I win the lottery, the plan begins. Of course, we could start taking up collections here at the club. Send me your certifeid cashier's check for twenty thousand yen and I'll gladly refund the balance of your personal contribution! September 4, 200816 yr comment_259186 Has anyone had bumpers or other parts chrome powder coated? I've seen valve covers done this way on ebay, and they looked good in pictures. The powder coat is tougher than chrome, and cheaper, so if it looks close enough to real chrome, I'd consider it. I just haven't seen it in person.
