26th-Z Posted December 25, 2004 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2004 Really good article, Carl.I lament over the racing we don't get in America, but then I shouldn't bitch for as close as I am to Sebring, Daytona, Hollywood/Miami, Moroso, Gainesville, and Road Atlanta. I loved the tri-lingual reference...ouch! So true.Froeliche Weinachten
sblake01 Posted December 25, 2004 Share #3 Posted December 25, 2004 Considering that I live less than 4 miles from California Speedway, it is a New Years resolution of mine to attend as many events there as possible. I have attended one race there-The inaugural event in June 1997. I saw the Busch Series, the IROC, and the then-Winston Cup races that weekend. Makes no sense to live so close and not go especially since I'm basically retired now.
Ron Carter Posted December 29, 2004 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2004 Stephen, I will probably be seeing a lot of you this year as Cal Speedway is the closest track to me, here in San Diego.
sblake01 Posted December 31, 2004 Share #5 Posted December 31, 2004 Looking at the schedule, I'm going to try to make the Grand American in April, and the Historic Sports Car Races in June. I don't see the JGTC listed for '05 but I'll probably shoot for some of the drag racing as well.
