Steering detail

Hi guys,

I'm making a model at the moment and I'm trying to make it as accurate and detailed as possible. Only problem is I don't know what half the detail should be

I'm using kats' webpage a lot because he has great detailed pictures, but I couldn't find anything on the steering system. Please look at the attached picture of some of the steering components... are there meant to be any markings at all or is it correct being all black?

If its a 240z model your making heres my steering rack....

The silver bit is alloy and holds the pinion, the rack tube is steel, and is painted black. the bits sticking out the rubber boot are bare metal and unpainted (the white tape, i put there so that i know approximately where to screw the ball joints up to) i guess you could paint them a metal colour.

This is the one I have. Havent opened it. Maybe when I finish building my 1972 240Z 1:1 scale

Take lots of photos Lachlan. Make a web page of how it all came together.

You going to build it as a ZG or just a Z I think it can be either cant it?

That's the one Craig! If it's exactly the same as mine then no, you can't choose to make a "normal" S30 instead. I am taking pictures of the bits as it develops, now that I have finished the suspension it is time to construct the engine! :bandit:

Here are some good photos of restored suspension. The yellow dabs are inspection paint indicating the nut was torqued.

Freeze plugs. Silver colored if installed after block is painted, otherwise same color as block.
