On my recently rebuilt engine the new pistons had 050 stamped and the builder indicated to me that it was a .50mm overbore.

PS The original pistons had no markings on the top

This relates to my original question about the overhaul. I would guess that the engine has been overhauled in which case this is most likely a +50 piston set. Factory piston sets were: standard, ovesize 1 tru oversize 5. Measure the piston diameter, STD spec is 82.99 mm to 83.04 with the oversize 5 being 84.47 to 84.52. The importance of this is that if you plan to overhaul the engine it may be at max wear limit which would require you to install cylinder liners in the block. :ermm: JLP
