Torque Settings

Recommended Posts

I am not a great mechanic, but have had suprisingly good results in restoring my old 240Z. However, I have not found a good source of information on proper torque settings (especially on suspension parts). I have tried various sources, but know that what I have compiled from them is not a complete listing. ANY IDEAS WHERE I COULD GET THE COMPLETE LISTINGS?

THANKS!

A Haynes manual has a pretty good section on the torque ratings for most areas on the car. You can also check in the Factory Service Manual in the particular sections. It'll be listed there.

Also, Haynes will usually have a section listing the general torque values for each bolt size. I'd check in either of these manuals for what you're looking for.

Eric,

I don't think there is such a thing as a complete listing. I've had to use 3 different manuals just to get the info that I need.
