January 4, 200520 yr comment_107271 To my knowledge the panel was a black or greyish colour. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14538-is-the-rear-panal-the-right-color/#findComment-107271 Share on other sites
January 4, 200520 yr comment_107275 Actually, that rear panel looks to be the correct color for a 73. It just doesn't stand out in the picture against the silver paint on the rest of the car. January 5, 200520 yr comment_107290 To my knowledge the panel was a black or greyish colour. Black or grayish --- grayish being closer to charcoal ---- that one doesn'tlook correct to me.-Jeff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14538-is-the-rear-panal-the-right-color/#findComment-107290 Share on other sites
January 5, 200520 yr comment_107291 it's a graphite-ish color.... and the one in that pic appears a bit too light Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14538-is-the-rear-panal-the-right-color/#findComment-107291 Share on other sites
January 5, 200520 yr comment_107308 It could just be the odd lighting like Stephen alluded to. Notice the body colour is a blueish silver, whilst the rear panel has no blue in it. It's grey. It does look like it's too light though. If you're interested in it, ask for another picture! Or better yet, look at it in person. January 5, 200520 yr comment_107314 It's not exactly a hi-res picture plus I blew it up a little. I still think it's the right colour with the effects the lighthing and quality of the picture making it appear to be lighter. January 5, 200520 yr comment_107324 Add to that the fact that so many owners have theirs painted a darker than original color and it will of course seem way too light. January 5, 200520 yr comment_107330 As stated above, lighting, resolution and other factors could conspire to alter it's appearance in the pic, but it looks considerably too light to my eyes in that picture.I don't think a silver car would look too good with the charcoal (roughly) colored trim panels anyway. January 5, 200520 yr comment_107341 That's funny, IMO the rear panel looks best on a silver car. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14538-is-the-rear-panal-the-right-color/#findComment-107341 Share on other sites
