WyreTheWolf Posted January 13, 2005 Author Share #13 Posted January 13, 2005 Is that your 1970 240Z in the picture, doesn't look like a 1970 to me, unless someone replaced the rear quarter with a later model due to the fresh air vent being on the side, rather than in the rear hatch like the 1970 model had. Just curious. Bambi, I think he might have been referring to rechroming the center caps, rather than the wheels, as the wheels are obviously on the car and not out being rechromed. The center caps have either a stylized D in the center... Looks to be the same as the D in Datsun. Maybe that is a bit of help... Gary you are correct. The original hatch was replaced with one from a 71 quite a long time ago. The car (as far as I can tell) is all original other than the hatch not having the leaky vent hole. I believe that the wheels are period. But, I wanted someones elses opinion before I decided to restore the wheels as well.

Datsun_Mike Posted June 28, 2006 Share #16 Posted June 28, 2006 Sorry to jack this post but what kind of wheels are on my Z(Look at me signature)... Just bought new wheels so I don't know if I should keep it. Does it have any value...I'm gonna use those wheels for drifting just to burn off those tires. mars23z Posted June 29, 2006 Share #19 Posted June 29, 2006 I had those same wheels on my 260z (see photo gallery) up until yesterday. From what Im told (from original owner) mine were put on as a dealer installed item (not factory) but put on at the dealer back in like 1975 I love them but they were 14x6 so it was hard to find tires because I wanted bigger wider tires so I bought some 15' rewinds
