Posted January 10, 200520 yr comment_108076 I'm waiting to hear back from my buddy, but he has 2) 350Z 6-speed tranni's that he is considering for sale. I figured I'd let you guys know. How much would you be willing to pay for such an Item?? tranni #1 has 1500 miles on it, and tranni #2 has aprox. 3000 miles on it. one was removed from a wrecked 350Z and the other was a factory warrenty replacement. The owner thought there was a problem with it and had it replaced, then found out that the new one had the same exact feel as the first one. therefore, nothing was wrong with it in the first place.how much would you pay if you were interested in them??? January 10, 200520 yr comment_108090 Don't bet on it, unless you have already installed a 350Z engine! Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14608-2-2004-350z-6-speed-trannis-for-sale/#findComment-108090 Share on other sites
January 10, 200520 yr Author comment_108093 Like Will said, Don't bet on it. they are the 6-speed tranny out of a 350Z, If you have the V6 engine, this is the tranny for you.I've heard a few rumors of some company attempting to make a conversion for the L24 thru L28 engine style. If and when it happens, if my friend still has a tranny left, I'm all over that. ( like white on rice)I'll know more tomorrow. Till then, I'll be dreaming of a way to make it work on the ol' L-series. After watching that Darius240Z.com video, I'm drooling over the possebility of a BIG motor in the 240Z. http://servinitup.com/videos/240z.mpeg I play this one all the time with the speakers turned up.Dave. January 10, 200520 yr comment_108111 These transmissions will not bolt to any other engine except the rear wheel drive VQ35DE found in the 350z,G35's,trucks and suv's.And there are companies/metal fab shops that can make it work.If your willing to spend the bucks..and if anyone buys a 6 speed make sure its the 2004 unit.the early 2003 units had syncro issues.that have been rectified for the 04-05 model years.I am currantly working on designs to fit one to my 90TT. January 10, 200520 yr comment_108188 Welcome and silly lesson #1What you may try on a stuck spindle pin will not work on a keyboard! No penetrating oil, hammers, heat wrenches, sockets, or the like-I refuse to answer how my personal experience has proven this to be so!Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14608-2-2004-350z-6-speed-trannis-for-sale/#findComment-108188 Share on other sites
