I'm a bit confused, the paint code decal shown on Zeddsaver.com has the words "Paint Amino Alkyd Enamel" along the bottom, but in my 1978, my worn out original paint code decal has NO words along the bottom. Is one style for earlier 240s? and one for 280s? Or are there two types of paint code decals out there? I want to get one of these repros but i'm not sure which one is correct version for a 78. The one that cnixzgo describes and links to is the 70-76. At Banzai Motorworks the DE-06 (70-76) is not shown and the DE-14 is the one that would be correct for a 78 at least that's what is on my 78Z (and on my 79 810).

Speaking of paint, a while back someone posted a link to site where you could search all the new and old paint chip catalogs for automotive paint chips. I believe it was associated with one of the big paint manufactures. Anyway, I can't seem to locate the link again. Does anybody have it? Thanks!

I confirm the decal / sticker conversation. Banzai has it correct.

The paint code sticker on the 72 240VZ has "Amino Alkalied (sp?) Enamel" paind code #112. Didn't they quit using amino alkalied enamel paint in the mid-70's? I don't recall having that wording on my 78 280Z or even on the 77 280Z prior to restoration.

Yes, Amino Alkyd Enamel paint is no longer used as "state-of-the-art" paint. It is my understanding that Banzai has the market on repro stickers, they are correct, and in all probability supplied the VZ cars.
