January 28, 200520 yr comment_110478 My 72 orange Z was covered in Ziebart all over the engine compartment and cowl. I have the bill from Ziebart for doing the "works"!! They have little black plugs over the holes they drill into the body which say Ziebart, but there are other companies out there who did the same type of body penetration. It was a mess and remember this stuff gets on everything, fuel lines, brake lines, clips, the tiny 8mm nuts, wiring, etc. This Z had rot hidden under the ziebart from age where the rust proofing dried out and let moisure in. The rockers were rusty and so were the quarters. Good news was the bottom of the doors and inside the hood and sinside the hatch and under the rear body panels were penetrated and saved. You can see more photos of what the ziebart mess left us on my website, the mess worked and failed at the same time. http://www.eurasianperformance.com/72z.html Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14735-undercoating/?&page=2#findComment-110478 Share on other sites
