February 23, 200520 yr comment_113928 FYI, I just bought a drivers side door for a 72z that was rust free but had a dent. I chose this door over several others that were straight but had signs of rust. I paid $200 plus 3 hours body work for an almost perfect door. There are several places in Arizona that sell used Z parts. Expect to pay $200 for a door and watch out for rust, especially on the botton where the outer skin wraps around the door. I paid $100 for a previous door that looked good but when I stripped the paint there were patches where rust was removed. The door worked fine but it's a choice of what parts you want on your car. February 24, 200520 yr Author comment_114027 Bob MThanks for the information. There was a guy here in Albuquerque that had lots of z parts but I guess he retired and everything was crushed. I took my z in for an insurance claim and the bodyshop was having trouble finding parts. They eventually did and the repair is in progress. It seems like most parts are easy to come by except body parts.Steve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14788-need-door/#findComment-114027 Share on other sites
