Posted January 27, 200520 yr comment_110426 I've been watching the Barrett jackson auction tonight (thurs) on Speed vision. It appears they skipped showing the 72 Z on the show. it was lot #408, and it looks like it hit the block during a commercial break, judging by the other numbers that came up on the air. January 29, 200520 yr comment_110607 I was there and IMO, the 72 sold well... perhaps more than it should have but then again it's at B&J and things tend to go high there..... The surprise for me was the 71 Dessert Red that sold for $22,680. Nice car but what a mix match of things on it....Z parts from Fairlady to 300ZX.... the list is unbelievable.... I hung around the car for almost two hours going over every inch of it (The car was open and so was the hood). The thing that struck me was how many people it attracted and how many positive comments people were making. And I am talking lots of people..... The owner was nowhere to be found ( I imagine after so many hours the poor guy was tired of talking....) but he did leave his name and mobile phone number on the car if anyone wanted to get ahold of him..... I thought perhaps it would bring 25K and I made a small side bet with a guy who was with me that it would go for 25K... didn't quite make it but came darn close..... January 29, 200520 yr comment_110671 Don't forget that BJ bidders have to pay $350 and submit to financial scrutiny before they are allowed to bid-places them in the "I get nothing for $350 unless I do buy a car", or, more probably in the "don't bore me with the details Burt, call me back when you have bougth the car." categories. Vicky, that was cruel and unusual-you beat me to it...I think that word needs to be in the list of the words that the shout box won't take with out manipulation. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14790-b-j-auction-z/#findComment-110671 Share on other sites

January 29, 200520 yr comment_110682 Nuts. I wish they had shown the Z's. I am sure Brock Yates would have made some smart arse remark about them. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14790-b-j-auction-z/#findComment-110682 Share on other sites
