My260Rocks Posted February 1, 2005 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2005 OKay i replace a fried plug in my 74 260Z under my ignition (the one with nine wires)... but Im not one-hundred percent sure I rebuilt my plugs right.... I might have them backwards... or upside down... or just in total disarray. Could someone look under their car and tell me the plug combinations... DO something like GY(greenyellow) to R(red), BW(blackwhite) to L(blue), etc. Thank you so much... Oh, hey, maybe send a picture for reference... EScanlon Posted February 1, 2005 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2005 The 260's wiring diagram and further up, shows the connectors and the wiring pairs you are matching.Trace the wiring you worked on back on the wiring diagram and it will tell you position and color.2¢Enrique
My260Rocks Posted February 1, 2005 Author Share #3 Posted February 1, 2005 im looking at the diagram supplied in my Haynes. It, unfortunatly does not color code the wires coming directly from the combo. switch. After the plug it is labels, but not before. Does the Chilton do a better job in that particular area? HizAndHerz Posted February 7, 2005 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2005 The Nissan FSM is invaluable. Much better in most areas than Haynes and Chiltons. I have all three and often refer to each of them. The '76 wiring diagram has recently been posted to the AtlanticZ site (click here).
