Posted February 2, 200520 yr comment_110992 Hey Mike, I was cleaning out my old files and came across this usefull tech piece. I don't know if its legal to add to the technical article area though. The author's name and ph. # appear at the end of the article. The "add or delete" decision is yours. Phred PS Sorry about the big files. I don't know the best way to send them, and have them legible. February 2, 200520 yr comment_110995 Thanks for the info Phred! I took this article and split it into a new thread in the technical articles area. The filesizes are fine and it looks good! Thanks again! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14845-rear-diff-gear-tech/#findComment-110995 Share on other sites
February 2, 200520 yr comment_111036 That's a good article but not entirely accurate. The Power Brute is a Nissan clutch type LSD, the 12mm ring gear bolts seem to have been introduced around 85/86, the 300ZX does have spring plates but not spring discs which still gives it some preload, etc.By far the most detailed and accurate info I've found is here: http://www.gordon-glasgow.org/lsd1.asp Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14845-rear-diff-gear-tech/#findComment-111036 Share on other sites
