I just finished the integration of our Classifieds area with our main site. Now the classifieds will have the same look and feel as our main page. It will also show our left navigation bar for all pages as well. Colors should also be be the same.

IT'd sure be nice if there were a location field on the lists. Especialy for the "cars for sale" section because most people don't want to ship a car. Besides that it looks good.

I would like to second this...again! I brought this up a few months back. There is another Z site using the same classified software and the Location field is manditory as it should be.

Ok, done... I added a field called "Location - City, State, Country" to the ad listings. This won't help the ads that are already in the system, but, new ads will have it. Unless, of course, people edit their listings and add the information. The field is also optional and not required for an ad to be saved.

Is it possible to use a filter to sort by location?

Locations similar to the regional forum breakdown would be my suggestion.

Unfortunatelt, I find it is impractical for anyone outside of the U.S to use the classifieds.

It's always been on the Main Menu. Actually, it probably wasn't showing up for all members because I found a setting that was wrong. Oopss!!

Hey, I just made some changes to the classifieds to set it up for different countries. Right now I have USA, Australia, and the UK. Let me know what you think about it.

I think the country classes are great. I don't want to be critical, but I'd love to see the ad sorting default to the most recent. Then I don't have to resort each time I go to the ads to see what is newly placed there. Thanks for your consideration.

You're not being critical at all. That is actually a very good suggestion. I don't see an option for that in the control panel, but, I'll look for it in the code. Have you also noticed there are links on the upper right side to show latest ads from 1 day, 7 days, etc... ?
