Rick,

I'm honobbing with a Bannana Bender, trying to figure out a bullbar from another thread...

all because I'm not within a cooee of putting my Z back on the street!.

I'm beginning to feel rooted for getting the Z ready for the MSA show because I have have been harvesting a crop of bush oysters for two weeks. Between me and the wee one, No work on the car for two weeks...

Will,

Are you fair dinkum ???????????????

You don't know what a bullbar is ?????????????????

And, -------ummmm, When You say you've been harvesting "Bush Oysters", are your "Bush Oysters" the same as our "Bush Oysters" ???????

If so, have you tried them wrapped in bacon and fried ?????????????.

Rick.

Rick-

I must have have come a guster.

What I thought I said was"

I was earbashing you about the different air cleaner housings, and for some strange reason, thinking about the "homemade bumper(ok, a bumper is not a bull bar) thread". http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16223&page=1&pp=15&highlight=homemade+bumper

, but this isn't a bumper!

http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=7059

Could it be a bull bar?

I have had bronchitis-lots of bush oysters(yes the same kind) come from having that particular malady, and with the frequency and volume I was producing them, I figured I'd harvest them into some tissue rather than the normal alternative-orwrapping in bacon and frying them up!.

The boy has just had his first cold-meaning I stayed home with him.

Yair, Stokesy,

That great metal thing on the front of the Holden ute is a bloody good example of a Bull Bar.

However, the ute is NOT a good example of a You Beaut Ute. It's only got one pair of spotties on the front.

Imagine a bar across the roof full of spotties and fog lamps and your getting closer to a You Beaut Ute.

Haha now Mickie don't be too harsh.

Australians have made some very good cars, however I've always felt the Japanese cars have been technologicially more advanced.

For instance the Red Motor found in the old VB VC commodores and the early Torana's was a 3.3ltr motor pushrod :). in XU1 GTR form with the 3 strombergs it made 160HP.

Now compare that to the 2.4ltr 240z with twin Su's and 150HP. Hmmmm 1 extra carb and 3.3ltr vs 2.4 and only 10HP? Yes i think the Japanese had the L motor sorted :).

For it's day the Z was unreal and far ahead of most Australian cars.

These days though you gotta hand it to FORD and HOLDEN they have produced some very exceptional cars here. Take the Monaro which has been exported for the US market that's quite an achievement if you ask me.
