Posted February 7, 200520 yr comment_111681 I got sloppy while disassembling an L24 block. I didn't keep track of which main bearing cap went where. Oops! It's easy enough to figure out which one is the front, rear, and middle. The rest I'm not sure about. One has a 6 stamped on it, another a 5, and two more don't have anything stamped where the 6 and 5 are stamped. Any suggestions on how to proceed and get this straighted out? February 7, 200520 yr comment_111702 Stick to software Dave! :stupid: Just kiddy with you. You might consider calling a reputable L6 engine builder and see what they have to say about it. February 8, 200520 yr comment_111875 If you can not determain where they came from you will have to have the block/caps line bored. If you put it together in any order you are asking for major bottom end failure. February 8, 200520 yr Author comment_111887 The block is at the machine shop now for hot-tanking. They know Datsun L's pretty well, so I'll see what they say when I pick it up.
