Hi I found a 280zx turbo that someone is selling. Its just a parts car really but the motor, transmission is all there. I am mainly buying it for the turbo pieces but what other parts would be good to get off of the car before I have it crushed? I am thinking they had R200s with 3.90 grears but I am not sure. Oh I am getting the parts for my 260z or to sell or trade:)

Dont crush it. Their is a high market here for zx parts. You could list them on ebay or something. But never destroy any good parts. Evan if they are ugly somebody will want them

engine, tranny, drive shaft, differential(R200, 3.7ish in the turbo), brakes, cv shafts, wiring harness, ecm, interior parst if in good shape, oil cooler, exterior lights & trim.

Everything except the body shell-unless it is in good shape!

Not everything will fit a 260Z, but what won't will be ebayable to help pay for the things you want that aren't on the turbo ZX!

Oh ya I know. But I need the 5 speed and the R200 and I think both of those should work. Also I already have an L28 with trips on the car but I am thinking of doing the turbo or a V8:)

Grab the rear brake discs and calipers and the front calipers (ditch the front discs) They can be used for upgrades to yours with the help of a few other parts. And the master cylinder.

I put 280zx electric mirrors on my 240Z too.

You should keep everything you can and as the others said just list the items on ebay.

If you have the space this is the most ideal way to go otherwise just keep the most valuable parts.

What's wrong with the front disc's on the zx cars? The ones I've seen are vented. Won't they fit on a 76 280z?
