Hello all,

I'm thinking of going to this event, but I might only be able to make it on one day, Saturday or Sunday. Which day should I go to? I've never been to the Monterey Historics before, I just moved to the area.

By the way...also looking for a clean 240Z...or 2000 Roadster.

Go Saturday because at 4pm-ish when things start to wind down you can take a quick drive to Carmel, park by the clubhouse at the end of the 18th green of the Pebble Beach golf course and see all the multi-million day cars being setup for the following day's Concours D'Elegance without have to pay a dime for it. Well worth it even if you end up buying an overpriced cocktail or two while taking in the gorgeous view.

Hmmm...that's kinda cool. Can you just drive down to Pebble Beach? Never driven down that way yet, but everything looks like private drives on the map.

Okay, so which day should I go in terms of the cars racing? I looked at the schedule and it looks like Sunday is more of a purely racecar day, whereas Saturday is more production car races. But, the local Z-car club is supposed to be there Saturday, right?

The Z car corral will be on Saturday only. Clubs from all over California will be participating and John Morton and Pete Brock will be coming by to visit.

The Corral has been reserved. Mark Davey has "fronted" the extra money for the tickets ($50 each) that had not been sold by the due date to make this happen (thank you Mark). There are a limited number of tickets available, so if you are planning to attend, get your ticket monies in soon.

For those that have waited until the last minute, corral passes are still available (free) but tickets will have to be purchased from the track as we have sold all of the alloted to us. Are 280z's allowed in the corral? hehe. I'm thinking about going, but I have to get in touch with my girlfriend to see if she wants to go before I commit to it, hehe.
