What's it worth?

Mr Camouflage,

What I meant by "too good to be true" was that he has 240z VIN #73, possibly low miles for a 35+ year old car (129k), doesn't have a clue what he's got, maybe looking to part it out and someone could probably get one helluva bargain. And as far as an asking price is concerned, are you kidding? He doesn't even know what to ask for it, that's why he made his very first post here to find out! That's what I would call too good to be true.

So are saying that people should tell him it aint worth anything and pick it up for a couple of hundred bucks? Hell, I'm doing you a favour taking it off you hands, nobody would want that. Sounds like used car salesmen talk to me. I thought the people here were more honest that that.

The guy came here for help, not to be swindled. I was just trying to help the guy make an informed decision.

I don't see you offering any information that might be helpful to the guy.

As for the prices I quoted, no I'm not kidding, check them out on ebay if you dont believe me.

Hey Sharkman. The short answer is "yes" it is worth something and for god's sake, do not part it out. Someone out there (someone here, no doubt) would cherish having an intact Z as early as yours.

How much exactly is it worth? It's worth what the buyer is willing to pay--no more and no less. I'm sure there is a range prices that you and a prospective buyer could find that would be mutually satisfactory. Or you may want to hold onto it, do some work, and enjoy it yourself.

None of this appears to matter much any how since he posted the one time and it does not look as though he has ever returned...not even to read the replies. I sent him a PM immediately and still no reply to that either. Too bad...I was ready to buy it from him if he was willing to sell. :/

Like I said, this was a joke. It's not the real deal. Someone is playing a practical joke on us..... If this guy is for real why hasn't he replyed back by now? Heck, I thought it was strange that he hadn't responded days ago, now it been over a week since he started the thread. Everyone was very cordial to him at first, including myself.... then we never heard from the guy. I'm done with this one.
