Posted February 14, 200520 yr comment_112740 Hi I am looking at getting a set of early 260z bumpers to put on my 240z. Both sets I am looking at I am going to have to make an offer on and I dont know what they are supposed to be worth. Both sets seem to have good crome and only minor dents and scratches. February 14, 200520 yr comment_112743 Too much variation to evaluate without detailed front and back pictures! Dents and scratches make the value drop like a rock-only rust is worse! Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14999-240z-bumper-pricing/#findComment-112743 Share on other sites
February 14, 200520 yr Author comment_112749 Well what about general guide lines. Say a perfect set is worth X, an average set is worth Y etc. I really just dont have any idea except I think on ebay a new old stock front bumper went for about $260 but I dont know if that was a high price or an average price etc for a perfect bumper. February 14, 200520 yr comment_112753 NOS Nissan bumpers usually go between $350 and $500, aftermarket or rechromes about 2/3 that. A used bumper that is presentable for a driver car, but needs some work to be ready for a rechrome job could go for between $75 and $250 depending on the damage.I can take some pictures of the set that came off my '72 over the next few days and tell you what I would expect them to sell for-if they were for sale. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14999-240z-bumper-pricing/#findComment-112753 Share on other sites

( not chrome) correct me if i'm wrong.don't know where u are so shipping has to be taken into consideration. February 15, 200520 yr Author comment_112798 To me it looks like 260z bumpers also as they have the shocks on them just like my car. I thought the early 240s had solid mounts. But then again I am far from an expert:) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14999-240z-bumper-pricing/#findComment-112798 Share on other sites

February 15, 200520 yr comment_112807 Definitely NOT 70-72 240Z Bumpers!FWIW, the 1973 240 had 5 mph bumpers w/ shock absorbers, but NOT the style bumper shown in that auction.Another case of someone either trying to rip people off, or uneducated in the Z lifestyle. You cannot delete messages, only moderators can do that.
