could you please explain to me, and others, want exactly would define a "drift" air dam as opposed to any other air dam?

Usually "drift" airdams have a lip at the bottom edge that flares out. This doesn't really help with aerodymics at all, but the design has just been accepted as being one of the trends. I personally don't care for them much.
