Posted February 21, 200520 yr comment_113617 I have seen this done on a few control arms including my own which I bought like that. Why is the end loop cut like this? What does it offer? February 21, 200520 yr comment_113637 Mine were cut like that to provide clearance for the aftermarket 28mm thick brake rotors Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15062-what-is-the-advantage-of-cutting-the-outer-end-of-your-control-arm/#findComment-113637 Share on other sites
February 21, 200520 yr comment_113645 Ahhh yes my friend recently installed Z32 front brakes, and crysler front discs on full lock the discs rubbed against the control arm in that area. So it stands to reason this is a way to avoid that happening. This is something else you can get to avoid this but i forgot the name of them there like step ups or something.
