Guycali Posted April 29, 2002 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2002 Ever heard of "Atmospheric Supercharging"? Well, this guy claimed he had discovered the secret of success of BRE's triumph with 240Z, Atmospheric Supercharging. Is there really such a thing? Have you ever heard of it in any form or shape?Atmospheric Supercharging -Guycali
2ManyZs Posted April 29, 2002 Share #2 Posted April 29, 2002 What a load of bull----. Sounds like an internet scam if there ever was one. 50 bucks and I'll tell you what a sucker you are if you haven't figured it out already. I'm surprised he doesn't have one of those ads you see on TV at 3 am. Guess the internet is cheaper. You can tell he's full of it, an L engine will pull 7k rpm without any of his crap. He says he lowered the nose of his car 7 inches to knee level? Well, duh, that's where it is stock. Look at the pic, doesn't look modified to me. The only type of "atmospheric supercharging" that I know of is nothing more than a ram air induction system. Unless there is a nitrous bottle hidden in the spare tire well. This guy is full of you know what! Even if he can prove he's a mechanical engineer, I'd still want to make sure he isn't on some kind of medication for delusional schizophrenia. Dave Sommers Posted April 30, 2002 Share #3 Posted April 30, 2002 Got to agree with 2many, lots of interesting reading but save your $50... Anyone in their right mind think that the nissan engineers would deliberately detune an engine by 50% of the rated power? Also, who out there thinks the B in BRE has anything to do with British? Better yet, send me $50 and I'll tell you what to buy for your Z car to make it go faster!
Dan Posted April 30, 2002 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2002 Thats not even a GTO he has pictured there it's a Vellarosa body package on a 70-78 Z.
2ManyZs Posted April 30, 2002 Share #5 Posted April 30, 2002 I e-mailed the guy and asked him if he thought about the fact that scams such as his are illegal. Let's see if he has 'cojones" enough to reply or if he closes his page down.
Dan Posted April 30, 2002 Share #6 Posted April 30, 2002 BRE stands for Brock Racing Enterprises not British, that guy atleast need to get his facts straight before he scams peoples money.
