Hey! I may ask some pretty daft questions about mechanics, but I'm not dumb.

Thanks for the explanations guys. :)

Just a saying, is all. Wasn't trying to imply anything.

Though you did sell your 240Z and bought a 240K. LOL

Got a scan of a 240K GT article for you Alfa from Sports Car World april '73, if you dont already have it.

Anyone have the DVR (tivo) with a DVD-burner? That would be a way to capture the commercial.

PS: The easiest explaination for this unit? A Digital Video Recorder. It will record video on a hard-drive instead of a VHS tape. The best quality? It's intelligent and will find your programs and record them.

I know that this was not on TV (or TiVo) but I am currently doing a course at Tech on spray painting so that I can get the courage up to spray the Zed.

Lo and behold the teacher puts on a video (yeah, we still have them down here in Oz) and the restoration project on the video was spraying a 240Z white!!

Woo Hoo - offered the teacher my Zed for a new video as he said that the video was starting to get dated.

Watching Myth Busters tonight. Theres a white 280Z in the background when they are trying to make quicksand.

I've noticed that before. I think it belongs to "Scottie", the blond welder. The reason I say this is that they actually used the car in another episode. It was the show where they wanted to see if a toy car rolling down a hill would be faster than a real car. In order to test the theoretical speed limit of the toy car they actually jacked up the 280Z and held the toy car on top of the rear tire letting it roll along as the tire spun. Scottie was behind the wheel and got it up to 60mph or so.
