Just curios what theme or overall design or what ever you prefer to call it for your cars are. For example mine is going to be a 60s sports car theme generaly. Or you could go for the boy racer look with lots of vents and ducts etc, or classic stock sports car look, or drag car look etc just curios to see what people have planned.

I am going to a bit dirrerent, I am going to eventualy go with a V8, role cage, put in fuel cell, brushed aluminum interior, rap around seats and 5 point harnesses. And I think paint it pewter with charcoal racing stripes and the old style racing number on the side!! number 43

No theme for me, just a bare metal up "life saving" resto for it. However, there are a heap of after market goodies to place here and there to enable a better feel to the car, all of which will be invisible to the non-Zed addict.

No wicked mags or super scoops/whale tails here. It will look standard apart from the rear tail which I will remove and the new front airdam. Everything else external will be as made.

So after I have emptied my wallet, if I win the lottery I will start on the L28 build up...a very big maybe. The CFO is fierce!

I think "theme" is good word for the topic. I just spent a day looking at "themes". Themes are more prevelent in the modified categories. ZRush is a perfect example of a "theme" car, and one of the most outstanding in my opinion.

I will be doing some correct period modifications and if I had to put a theme to it, that would be something similar to the Fairlady Z-L look. I am going to use my headlight covers and Watanabe wheels to highlight the Japanese bumper look. I may use the mesh grill - I don't know if I will like it. Inside, I will add the rally clock and the foot rest to the passenger floor. Custom steering wheel.

Haven't been here in quite awhile, so first I say "Cheers"!

This thread caught my attention because of the word 'theme'. We all have our 'theme'...whether its plain jane Z or Speedy GonZaleZ... We find an older Z, we put 'our' creativity, our artistry, or our 'dreams' into the car. Yes, Bubbles, I KNOW yours is a pumpkin... sometimes I fear it might be 'Squash'!

Anyway, I looked at mine and thought about that question. Is there a theme? Of course there is. It might not be approved, but its my 'theme'. My daily driver Z is a 75 280Z. Leaf Green. In spite much mulling over the colour to paint it I know I will go original. Green is my favourite colour, and it's close to nature. Nature, you say? Yep, that's my theme. There is nothing better than getting 'back to Nature' on a Sunday afternoon with my Z. Stock Rocks, and so I stay as close to her 'Birthday Suit' as possible...even if its 'Leaf Green'!

Happy Zeeing,

Elaine and Zel~

I would agree, all creative minds tend to put a style or theme to what they do. Personally, I have always had a thing for 1960's "euro"... maybe a youth of watching too many spy movies. But none the less, thats the direction I'm taking my baby, slowly but surely. So many of the Z's lines were inspired by European designs, I think it's fitting.

Don't know if this could be a theme, but I made my 71 as I would have done back in 71. When I started the project, I knew I couldn't afford to go back to pure stock, so it has triple Webers, XR-700 ignition, headers, bigger sway bars, KYB struts, and the 240-Z side stripes. All this was available in the 70's, so if I had the car back then, this is how I would have modded it.
