AWC Posted March 7, 2005 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2005 I saw this ad on Craigslist where I guy is liquidating his entire inventory of Z-parts, located in Sonoma, California, for $15,000. It looks like he has A LOT of parts. I don't have any other information than what was in the ad, but thought it may be of interest to someone here. grnskyline Posted March 7, 2005 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2005 hey, I can vouch for the guy in sonoma. His name is Dan and he is very helpful and a wealth of knowledge. Great guy to deal with. I went out last week and bought an L28, 5sp box and a freshly rebuilt head, to build up and put in my cali 260 (couldnt resist a package). He does have a wealth of parts also. Yes I did drool. Doors, fenders, hoods, heads, badges, brake lights, undented bumpers! etc. Practically anything you could want. Bit of a hike from where I stay , but well worth it. Bambikiller240 Posted March 7, 2005 Share #5 Posted March 7, 2005 Carl! Carl! You've been wanting a job-here you go!Too bad I am in Savannah, Too far away to transport everythingWhy bother transporting it all? You buy it and I'll bring it all home and sell the parts you don't want.Without knowing exactly what he has it's hard to judge the value, but a couple of years ago (3 maybe) "Mr. Z of Albaquerque" was trying to sell his HUGE used Z parts inventory for $10K and AFAIK didn't find a buyer. I heard that his stuff went to the crusher.
AWC Posted March 7, 2005 Author Share #6 Posted March 7, 2005 Seems a shame that all those parts went to their death in Albuquerque. You are correct--it's difficult to assess the value of something like this. Although the admission that he is a "non-computer guy" makes me think that these parts + ebay could = $$$. I'm halfway across the country, though.

texasz Posted March 8, 2005 Share #8 Posted March 8, 2005 I'm with hls30.com and AWC, if I weren't so far away I'd consider it and then start marketing them actively so begin to recoop my costs. BUT, I live much too far away to transport all the parts also. It's a REAL shame about the parts in Albuquerque, those were much closer and had I known I may have tried to save them.
