Beautiful Show Car!!! Modified - But Beautiful!!

Wow! Must keep husband away from this post. For a car that seems so pristine the undercarriage is in need of a refresh. It almost looks like a Z that's been on "Overhaulin" except for the dinged and scratched underside.

Very tempting indeed :nervous:

This comment probably isn't fair to the person(s) who worked hard to make this car so pretty. But one word comes to mind...SILICONE! This car is like a great looking gal with awesome hooters...that aren't real.

Good comparison Dave! Vic's eye for detail is getting pretty good. I agree, the undercarrige seems to be lacking TLC. Did you notice the front suspension configuration?

What makes you think they do the underside in "Overhaulin"? I've seen them weld new panels over rusted ones without treating the rusted one. Also I've seen where the underside wasn't touched, except for the suspension components and brakes.

The stance is awesome and those wheels look absolutely sweet on the Z. If I could have my Z sit that way I'd do it in a second. But I would have kept the body more stock. Especially keep the 240 bumpers. Im not a big fan of the shaving either. Did I say how sweet those wheels look on the Z?

The underside was definitely not done to the same standards as the body of the car. I suppose if it is functional and safe then...

In many ways it is a beautiful car. A lot of nice touches. The underside also tells a story as has been observed and mentioned.

The hood bothers me. I realize why its there but for me it throws the lines of the car way off. Speaking of throwing lines way off, how about the auto shifter. Is that a BRE spoiler in the rear? Looks just a tad short to me….

Yeah i noticed a few things about this car.

I like the shaving of the rear bumper it's well done but I've decided I'd rather put the rear bumper back on my car i think there is something missing when you shave it.

The wheels are suprisingly nice looking never thought they'd work on a Z but they kinda do. Prefer Watanabe's though.

I'm not fond of the front bar it looks too open and the lines need to be broken up and have a front bumper back on it.

The bonnet is not bad maybe a little extreme. I'd have the centre piece of it more stock looking maybe a little bit of a bigger hump than stock and a carbon fibre look. VicZcar may be making some soon.

One thing that bothered me was the way the suspension has been changed the rear strut towers look like they've been tubbed and he didn't show pics but I'd say it's a live axel rear end YUK!.

The front suspension towers have had the bolts removed or something take a look at the pics???

The original seats were a nice touch but they lack a bit of support especially in a drag car like this.

Dunno about the small indicators think they look cheap myself.

I guess that's all i noticed :).

There is none of the z's character left. I personally think that the bumpers are necessary because the back sort of slopes away, and there is a gaping hole in the front. And yeah, the shock towers should really be there. The way everything is shaved, it seems almost un-car like in a way. An older car would have some nice chrome bumpers, and a newer car would have five MPH bumpers integrated in some way. This car has no bumpers at all!

But the real fact is, the car still looks pretty badass because after all it is a 240Z. All the lines are there, it's just missing is an L24! :P
