What to do with pulled engine/trans?

Hey everyone!

I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I've been busy at Temple (straight A's!) and working like a fiend to save money for my Z. I'm home on Spring Break and am stripping the car down to nothing so I can begin body work. I'm pulling the L24/4spd and have really nowhere to store it, nor do I want it around! My question is:

1) Does anyone in the area want to come pick it up? It's FREE, it ran before I disconnected everything, and the roundtops/whatever you want come with it.

2) If noone comes to take it, what can I do? I called Jasper Engines and Transmissions and left a message with them regarding picking it up. I don't necessarily want money for it, but I don't want to have to haul it to the junkyard (takes too much time!).

Thanks and it sure is nice to be back in the garage =)

Nate

Hey, as a last resort try putting it at the curbside with a sign that says "FREE RUNNING ENG/TRANS...just take me away". I don't know how it is where you live, but in some places it would be gone by the next morning!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry to be so delinquent in responding to this (and my 2 PM's), I've been REALLY REALLY sick. Like sick enough to keep me off my computer which is all of a foot from my bed. The engine and all associated parts are still available, and as a matter of fact not even pulled yet, just waiting to be lifted out. Next weekend I get home it will be out.
