Will these wheels fit

Aussie260z

Can anyone tell me if HR Racing 158's - 17" with tyres size 205/40/17 with 4x100mm and 4x114mm pattern, with a 40mmET offset will fit onto my 1974 260z Datsun?

Would have i have to use a spacer?

With the 17" wheels...if you intend to go with a wheel wider than 7" you may likely need to convert to coilovers for additional clearance they provide.

Yeah i think your right, might not be the best looking wheels for a Z,

I think im going to go with a set of "SpeedyWheels, Sirocco 11" - 16"by7", can see them at www.speedywheels.com.au nice looking wheels and they fit too :classic:

Just curious, but what is a reasonable price to be paying for a set of rims and tyres? I was quoted $1600AUS for the Sirocco 11's with tyres and fittiment, seemed like a pretty decent price, but i havent ever actually bought brand new rimms before so a bit in the dark..........

FYI, the hyperfang IIs will fit in the 15x6.5 20p. But only if you run 205s up front and even then it as tight as buggery against the strut (it does clear the strut though). Tire bag being the main problem.

Given that, I think you will have real problems with the Sirocco IIs in the 16" size as you have lost another 5mm clearance.

If you are set on these wheels you might consider modifying the front suspension to take 2.5" springs to get a bit more clearance.

And another thing, I also agree that 15" wheels look the best on old Z cars. They have the right ratio of tyre to wheel for my eye. As a bonus they are also cheaper.

For some time I was determined to get 16" wheels but could not find a set I liked. In hindsight I am glad I could not find any and went with 15".

I agree with the 15" observation. I have seen both and the 15" is a far better fit and the most that Z stock offered I believe? I prefer the '81 turbo zx snowflake wheels but am having a hard time finding a decent set...

There is a guy locally (Hillsboro, Oregon) that will dip and repolish the wheels.

Im just looking at upgrading my front brakes - so i gotta get bigger wheels,

Thinking of going to 11" rotors with 4by4 hilux 4-spot calipers

or

11" ventred rotors with WB single-pot holden calipers,

But both will need atleast a 15" wheels,

Dont really wanna be spending massive amounts of money on wheels though, but i got the stock Z rims, with the Z hubcaps and it looks a bit plain,

But im not set on anything at the moment, the Sirocco's fit and just seemed like a decent price and i would be able to fit some pretty decent brakes in there,

But i would prefer to spend less than $1600,

Dont suppose anyone in Aus has got a set of rims they wanna get rid of that will fit a 260z? :classic:

Just wanna be absolutely sure first :nervous:
