car (train) racing!!?

Watchin TV last night...saw a pretty funny offshoot of racing! Three cars are strung together via chain or cable, front car has an occupant who has control of steering and an engine only, middle car has no occupant, last car has the brakes and steering only. The really funny part is that the teams that were doing the best used old Z cars as the middle car. Talk about some tail whipping action! Just wondered if anyone else saw this funny form of racing?

I saw that listed in the on screen guide. But when I turned to the station (speedvision, I think), they were racing school buses.

Yah, that was part of the show as well! The school bus races were all women drives.
