I was thinking of going with the classic 5 slot aluminum rims from back in the day. Real wide though. Any special place you guys know of that will have the right size and bolt pattern or just keep browsing through Ebay? When I say wide I mean real wide. Flares and everything. I want my Z to squat and look mean

I believe the 5 slot only came as wide as 6.5" or 7" X 14 which would allow you to use a 215/60 R14 (you could use something else but it wouldn't look right IMO). You could try some bone yards or keep searching E-bay. I've seen them there every now and again.

I have seen 8j wide slots on ebay before, and they had a Z bolt pattern. You just have to keep your eyes peeled on ebay because I am sure they will pop up eventually.

I have not seen any with the offset needed for flares, I have 7" with a -12 offset,not nearly enought for flares, you would need something wider and with -19 or so offset, you could try American Racing wheels. They are reproducing a 5 slot wheel with the Z pattern. Mabey you could get some custome made with a larger - offset and 8.5 or 9 inch or what ever width you are looking for. They are listed under "new wheels" on there web site.

These are the two wheels that work for the Z. The second has widths up to 14". I prefer the second, it has that Panasport look. If they will custome make some wheels for you post it on here. When you get them on the car put pictures up too. I would love to see the car and hear about dealing with AR for custome wheels.

If you look at my gallery, you'll see that some wheels manufacturers did make 15 x 10 slotted mags. I do like the wheels, but I must extend the flares an extra inch or two so it may cover the tires. The car is still work in progress.

And if i do go through AR i will definetly let you know how it goes. I will be contacting them today but it will be a little while before i can afford them. It all starts with a plan right?

The front wheels are 14x8 and the rear wheels are 15x10. I am planning on painting them black; this will give the wheels a different look. I would tell you where I got them, but they came with the car.

I have a near perfect set of Western 14x8 (and I mean 8in inside wideth) slots

,no curb rash! 3 1/2 backspace. I put just the wheel on the back of my stock '72 just to see how far they stick out, and it comes to about a inch and a half past the stock flare. Remember, if you put 265/50/14 BFG's on these, there's another inch + of tire section hanging out. My plan was to go with street flares and BFG's, 245/50/14 front and 265/50/14 rear. Unfortunately, the car was way too rusty for any consideration of restoration. Send me a PM if your interested.

Where are the prices on the american racing website? Was wondering about the slots price for 15x7

You must call an American Racing retailer to inquire about the price, but I would say $250 ea.
