It does look like a nice car, but everything looks good on internet pics. His buy now price is 14,500 I wonder what the reserve is.

It it is as described, I'd say that the BIN price would be a steal for a 70. But it sounds too good to be true to me. Comes with the 'D' hubcaps and stock wheels too. Correct valve cover and oil cap, NGK wires (I think) but aren't some of the stickers missing from under the hood? Don't really care for the uretheane bushings or the cd player if you're looking for original, however.

The other thing I missed was the automatic transmission. I know that they could be considered rare but I could not live with one in a car from the 70's. That is just a personal opinion.

It's not an automatic, regardless of his description. Look at the shifter and the clutch pedal in the pictures.

Looks to be a pretty nice find! I don't know about the BIN price! For that price the car would have to be absolutely perfect, IMO. I would think that $10,000.00 would even be a high price. As Stephen pointed out, it's a manual transmission car and the guy thinks its an automatic!!? Maybe a typo! But if not, what else has been misrepresented. It would be interseting to see close up shots of the undercarrige and the usual rust prone areas. I don't know, but it still looks to be in great shape. Anyone going to Alaska?

Yet also says, "....he bought it new in Feb.1970 from Fairbanks Datsun. He lives near me and loved this car. I tried for years to pry the car from him and I finally did several years ago. It had sat in his garage for 30 years.

5 years in the sun (especially the amount of sun that they get in AK) shouldn't have caused this kind of damage.

Also stated is, "After taking the car out of storage this month and polishing it for Ebay, I noticed some minor paint bubbling on the right quarter near the fuel filler door. It looks very minor and should be an easy fix.

Usually paint bubbling is the "tip of the iceberg", and when located that high up on the car is seldom "an easy fix". Ever try to match 30 yr old paint for a touch-up?

One the other side of the coin, for the selling price he says he will ship the car at his expense to Kent, WA. That's cool, but I'd still want to inspect it in AK before I accepted the car. If the buyer inspected it in WA and didn't like what they saw, getting it back to AK would be on buyer's dime, and getting buyer's money back would be hell to accomplish.
