Gday all,

I'm after a set of Konig Rewinds 15 x 7, for my rb 71 240z, here in Perth and have had no luck finding anyone here that supplies them. Or 2nd hand. If anyone could help me out with this dilemma it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Sean

Hey not sure if this is an option but he ships internationally , hope it helps , he also has the darker ones listed on ebay

Hey mate....I'm currently looking at exactly the same wheels. Here's the options I have found so far (all prices in AU$):

• Techno toy tuning (the ones on eBay)

- Wheels $660

- Duty $100 (need to check on this....should have a figure tomorrow)

- GST $66

- Shipping $400

- Total: $1226

• Ozzy Tires (the aussie distributor)

- Wheels $270/wheel

- Shipping $100

- Total $1180

• Motorsport Auto

- They sell them at the same price at TTT. I'm checking with them if they can ship them by sea, as TTT will only do airmail and it's a real killer. I should have a reply today hopefully. I'll post up when I know.

• Got any good friends in the US? Get them to buy the wheels then ship them by sea as a gift. No duty, no gst and cheap shipping. I'm looking into this option at the moment.

hi there,

no friends in the u.s....

is there no way of gettting from a supply in asia?

i rang about 10 wheel companies, wth the same response of, 'konig whats?'..LOL

if we can get cheaper with two of us, rather than two separaye deliveries that would be great.

give me a yell on whats happenning.

Sean

I know the guy that is the oz distributor for panasports.....but we're talking ~$450/rim. The Konigs seem to be the best value for money so far.

Sean: Will let you know when I know. Haven't heard anything as yet.

I rang Customs about this last year, they laughed and said the "gift" thing is the biggest myth about bringing anything into Australia via post. If you get serious about bringing something in, check with customs first as to what you could be up for. There are many variations of the rule. Frinstance, bought something OS via ebay? if it's over ~$500 (IIRC?!) they will ask for the eBay item number to check what you paid!! A camera from Hong Kong at $600. Dealer marked it as "gift" and understated the price on the documents. Customs was aware of this character doing this quite a lot and anything brought in from him was red flagged. Even so, we only had to pay another $65 dollars in the end.

Forewarned is forearmed.

Jim.

Thanks Jim.

I've just finished looking at the customs web page.....

My summary.....forget doing it yourself......get a customs broker.

At this rate I can see Ozzy Tires being the best option. :-/

yeah, i can see that aswell..

I'm in the process of getting someone to try and duplicate the design, see how much he quotes me for it.. LOL

Otherwise, yeh.. Ozzy Tyres, but for $1100 for four brand new rims... its not a bad price either way

Well the thing that shits me with the whole thing is it's AU$1180 for the four rims, vs AU$660 in the US! Why the hell does it cost another $500 to get some rim into the country? It seems like a somewhat inflated price.

Oh well. I think I might just have to put this idea on hold a little longer.

Where are they made? Korea? Taiwan? I don't understand... I'm pretty sure it is made in an asian country, and if so.. yeah it would be, in theory cheaper to get them over here than the u.s.

:surprised
