Holy crap...........even if I posted pics of the cars that came out when I was born, most people likely wouldn't recognize then. So imagine 1951 Chevys, Fords, and all the other beasts out then!!! Come to think of it, what the hell does a 1951 Chevy even look like??? ROFLROFLROFL

Well, I was born in 1950. Some of the most interesting cars came out in that era, IMO. They styling, engineering etc. was so different to what we have become accustomed to. Wood sided station wagons, large rounded shaped vehicles, distinctively styled trucks, and some very unique and highly sought after European cars. Japanese cars weren't even here in the US yet. You know what those cars look like. Your parents, like mine, drove them.

I think this is about the best 1940 image I can find. Hope you recognize it.

Is it a Buick? This 40 Packard looks pretty sweet.
