Any opinions on these seats (on ebay)

I was looking for some acura integra seats (just looking mind you) and I saw these seats, 2 of them for $150, and that seems really hard to believe they are any good (even if they don't have mounting brackets)...

Just wondering if anyone knew anything about them....they say they are JDM racing seats, but I doubt it.

What do ya all think?

JDM refers to the Japanese DOMESTIC Market. That's the market WITHIN their country.

As to these items being JDM, could be, but then again Ronco, Popeel (sic), are USDM (here in the states), you decide whether that's enough of an added value for the item. In different terms, it may be that these seats are SOLD in Japan's home market, but are they selling them here because they were deemed good / bad sales items?

In reference to the Z, we use to denote those items which Datsun chose to make available as options or accessories WITHIN Japan, and not readily available outside Japan.

What this e-bayer may be trying to do, is latch on to those folks who are more concerned with the provenance of their item rather than it's worth.

Are you building a racer? That may be more a "bling-bling" type item for the cruiser or park and show gang. i.e. it's not really a racing seat, it just LOOKS like one.

No racer, no ricer either.

I have 2 good old perfect white vinyl covered stock 100% seats, just looking for something to bolt in for everyday driving...I have found sound actual OEM leather acura integra seats that sound a lot better than these (around $150 out of a GSR--so they are very supportive) and the guy will ship from NC for $100 or so (which doesn't sound too bad considering how big the box will probably be).

I was really just looking, not in market yet.

Thanks for the input guys.

Escalon (sp?) PM me about who your mechanic is...Beandip was saying he is good. I'll be in the market soon to rebuild my 2.4 or get a 2.8 going....

Thanks,

Hi

This is just my very biased opinion.

These seats are some sort of a copy. If you look at his other items.

you can see a pattern in the type of stuff he sells, (generic part with brand application.) I would question there quality and safety(DOT)

and like Carl said "Seller's domestic shipping quote is OBSCENE!!!!"

Those seats will look out of place in a zed.

Have you looked at some miata seats. They look like they naturally belong in a zed and you have the added benefit of the spakers in the headrest,

not to mention reletive availability.

Checked out miata seats, those look good as well as the Integra seats....does anyone know of any white/white leather stock oem seats from some modern sporty car that would match my interior?

I would think not, but the black miata seats would do...with sheepskin covers...maybe I can contact that Oregon State player about getting some sheepskins....LOL

I don't think I've ever seen a "newer" car with white seats.

I think it's one of those colours manufacturers don't like to use especially on seats, they would be so hard to keep clean.

"are the speakers replaceable in the headrest"

You can replace the speakers in the head rest but you would have to remove the seat cover first. It depends on where your skill level is.

Check this site out for reference.
