Posted March 22, 200520 yr comment_117991 SEZ i weighted the 2+2. without bumpers, without AC system, all under carpet hard sound deadening was removed, and some engine componets, such as vaccun canister and things like that (see my engine picture). anywho, this was with me in the car, and with my stereo, subwoofer, all seats, and a half a tank of gas. only thing not installed was the center consolweight:2710 lbs. i weigh 155, so that brings it down to 2555. that is AMAZING for a 2+2. they are NOT over weight at all.when my friend and i took the seats out and my stereo stuff, i got it down to 2610 with me in it.just wanted to put to rest the theroy that a 2+2 is heavy! March 22, 200520 yr comment_118002 Add back the bumpers, A/C, and other parts that you removed, and it IS heavy. "Especially in comparison to a 240Z."You are weighing less than a complete 2+2Of course the car will be lighter when you start stripping heavy things things out of it. March 23, 200520 yr comment_118008 Im from Australia so these figures are in SI UnitsI got a 280ZX T-Top (2+2) and all the usual stuff... Its also got a 50 OR 60ltr LPG tank in the back... I got it weighed at the weighbridge.. It came up with 1440kg including me (80kg), full tank of LPG, just under 1/4 tank of petrol(of 80ltr tank) and all the other bits a pieces if i was just driving around on a normal day (like spare tyre). I then weighed the car with only the front wheels on the bridge (without me this time) and results showed 680kg.. Did the same for the rear of the car and came up with 680kg as well... Double checked by weighing the whole car without me and got 1360kg...The weighbridge was accurate to the nearest 10kg.... If you want to convert to lb, i think its multiply it by 2.2.. just check that though...CheersAdam Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15409-280z-22-weight-confirmed/#findComment-118008 Share on other sites
