Dans240z Posted March 26, 2005 Share #3 Posted March 26, 2005 Maybe you should try zcar.com, hybridz.org, or zdriver.com. This site is dedicated to early Z cars such as the 240z, 260z, and the 280z. The other sites are for Z cars of all different years.
280z/300zx Posted March 28, 2005 Share #4 Posted March 28, 2005 It's the same engine so it shouldn't matter if it's in a 240z, 280z, or 280zx. As for the turbo swap I've been thinking about doing the same thing on my 77. Both the 280z and 79-80 280zx had low compression stock so adding a turbo to it should be possible without doing damage. If I find any other solid proof from more experienced people I'll let you know but for now I would hold off until you found how much boost you could run. Personaly I would like to make 250-300hp and if I can do that using my current engine and low boost I'll probably do that rather than swap in a whole 280zx turbo engine.
