UPDATE: New graphics showing front and back designs! -- Mike

Hi all,

We could use your help. Could you give us a few opinions about the Tshirt concepts? Take a look at the following attachments and let us know what you think. We are trying to decide between these ideas:

1) Logo with a car

2) Plain logo with text

Bring on the comments!!

Note: The plain logo shown will be higher on the back and will not show a 240 in the middle.

Note2: PLEASE CLICK ON "FORUM VIEW" below if you can't see the voting buttons or the attachments.

All GREAT ideas.

Although I voted for the Plain Z w/ Text & w/out 240Z overlay, I really do like the design of both.

To my thoughts, if you were offering both designs, I'd place an order for two each, one set of both for me and one set for my wife. Then if you offered them in a dark color (black or gray) I'd need another set.

As far as the color of the car, keep it as is. It's the color of the car as seen on the home page, although a nice yellow would be a good choice if the t-shirt is done in black or gray.

Also the thought of just the logo w/out text or 240 on the breast would be a nice touch.

What about breast pockets for future runs? How many times have you been at a meet and wanted to keep your tickets handy? Or your crib sheet for People's Choice awards. Heck, your pen!?

FWIW

The logo/car is nice to me. You get good ideas without help. Business Major in college?

On the back, it's a good idea to keep things up as high as possible, but not so high that long hair hanging down obscures what's there, like Vicky said. That way, people looking at vicky's back end up seeing her smiling face when she turns around, instead her boobs (maybe Mr. ZRush might like it that way.) You learn this in psychology class.

If you wanted to try to have more options, you could always make iron-on transfers? Those are supposed to be easy to make on the computer, you can customize them individually or have many different versions, sizes, colors, etc (even somebody's name!), Like start with two versions- one for light-colored shirts, and one for dark. These can just MAILED in an envelope. I've made a few myself.

thx

Actually, I left that part out... Sorry.

The FRONT of the shirt will be a small version of our oval logo. I was considering the words "Pride, Performance, Preservation" on the front logo. The small oval logo will be placed on the front left breast area. (ok, no breast jokes)

:P

Mike I think the shirt with the car , and I do like the plain , 240 , logo also but as it's been said it eliminates the 280 guys. The ppp added on the back is also vary good. Changing the color of the car will cause a new screen each time , added expence. Unless the color of the car is the same yellow as the ppp . I am sure you know that each color requires a different screen. Please use a GOOD quality shirt that will hold it's shape and last. Good Job. Gary

i like it with the car the best

later on down the track what you could do is

have the vehicle of choice 240 through to 350

i know it would up the price but it would cover all bases

of which ever car the buyer drives or likes the best

Maybe a number of models ie. 240,260,ZX, 300,350Z around the logo. And don't forget the normally large members 3x, 4x of the club we usually get discriminated either by leaving out the size or penalizing us by price. Just an opinion.

Absolutely agreed Bambikiller - the Classic Z belongs to the 240Z to 280Z and nothing else!

I also strongly support other comments with regard to choosing a good quality shirt and liked the suggestion of a pocket.

From a supplier point of view, it is likely going to be difficult enough to stock and supply T- Shirts in a single design but in multiple sizes without going into multiple designs, colours etc. The latter variations are something that might be considered once the costs of the initial project have been recovered.

Another consideration that crossed my tiny little mind since my earlier post was that I had considered red white and blue to be the core Datsun colours and red to be the dominant Datsun car colour when I look at racing and rally pics.

Whatever is decided, I am certain that we will have a great shirt and I am in for two shirts when they become available.
