Synchros for 5 speed

How many synchro rings are needed for a 1980 280ZX 5 speed? Vic British says 4 and that's what their illustration shows, but a parts place on the net says 5 are required. I see that the 82-83 turbo requires 5. I believe Vic British but just checking. Victor.
