Posted May 3, 200222 yr comment_6634 I'm just wondering on how hard it would be to fit a small block into my 260, or an RB25det? Would it be worth trying to fit the v8 or the RB25det? May 4, 200222 yr comment_6642 quite easy (relatively) so i hear. i may one day put a 350 sbc in my 73, but it'll be awhile:( you really should go ask at www.hybridz.org you'll find everything about the swaps there. good luck, JA Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1552-how-har-is-it-to-fit-a-v8-in-a-75-260z/#findComment-6642 Share on other sites
May 4, 200222 yr comment_6646 the swap is supposed to be pretty simple. The best conversion kit is from Jags That Run. The kit is for a small block 350, it drops to engine and mounts is up against the firewall for better weight distribution. You would need to get a new driveshaft made and the only transmission that goes in without modification is the Checy Turbo 350 (3-speed auto)...but if ur gonna do the V8, i feel that automatic takes away all the fun. Be forewarned...itll be one helluva beast with a V8 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1552-how-har-is-it-to-fit-a-v8-in-a-75-260z/#findComment-6646 Share on other sites
